Electric Dirt Bike Size Chart: How to Choose the Right Size by Rider Height
Short answer: choose an electric dirt bike by rider height and inseam first, then by speed. For CEMOTO, riders about 4'11" to 5'10" (150–178 cm) fit the D02 Classic or D03 Pro (seat about 28.3–28.7 in). Riders about 5'9" to 6'5" (175–195 cm) fit the D02 Track or D03 Beast (seat about 31.9 in). Under about 4'11"? Every CEMOTO is likely too big for now. All CEMOTO bikes are for riders 13 and up.

Speed and range are manufacturer-stated maximums. CEMOTO range is measured with a 70 kg (154 lb) rider at 25 °C and a steady 20 km/h (about 12 mph); real range is shorter with heavier riders, hills, cold weather and higher modes. Max load covers the rider, protective gear and anything carried on the bike.
Electric dirt bike size by rider height and age
| Rider height | Typical rider | Start with | Why |
|---|---|---|---|
| Under ~4'11" (150 cm) | Smaller teens | Not a CEMOTO yet | Below the listed range of every CEMOTO model; choose a lower-seat bike or wait until the rider grows. |
| ~4'11"–5'8" (150–173 cm) | Most teens 13+ and smaller adults | D02 Classic or D03 Pro | Inside the listed range; 28.3–28.7 in seat; lowest ride mode about 12 mph for learning. |
| ~5'9"–5'10" (175–178 cm) | Taller teens and adults | Choose by experience | Both sizes overlap here; see the overlap section below. |
| ~5'11"–6'5" (180–195 cm) | Tall teens and adults | D02 Track or D03 Beast | Inside the listed range; full-size 31.9 in seat and 17/14-inch wheels. |
| Over ~6'5" (195 cm) | Very tall adults | Check fit before buying | Above every listed CEMOTO range; do the fit check below or contact support first. |
Age alone does not decide size: a 13-year-old can be 4'10" or 5'9". Use height and inseam, then experience. CEMOTO bikes are not designed for children under 13.
Shorter riders (example: about 5'4")
A rider around 5'4" (163 cm) sits inside the CEMOTO D02 Classic / D03 Pro listed range (about 4'11"–5'10"). Prefer the D03 Pro if you want the slightly lower 28.3 in seat and clear 12/25/40 mph modes; choose the D02 Classic if price is the priority. Do the seated fit check before the first ride. If the rider is closer to 4'11" or has a short inseam, confirm they can put a foot down — do not "size up" to a 72V bike early.
Still shorter than about 4'11"? Skip CEMOTO for now; a lower-seat bike from another brand (for example Cyrusher Lynx lists about 27.6 in) may fit better until they grow.
The 5-minute fit check
Do this before you buy if you can try a similar bike, or the day the bike arrives:
- Seated: with the bike upright, the rider can reach the ground with the balls of both feet, or put one foot flat while leaning the bike slightly. Newer riders should be closer to flat-footed.
- Standing on the pegs: knees slightly bent, hands on the grips, elbows not locked.
- Brakes: the rider can pull both brake levers firmly and repeatedly.
- Lift test: the rider can pick the bike up from its side. The D02 Classic weighs 121.3 lb and the D02 Track 138.9 lb.
- Load: rider plus gear stays within the maximum load in the chart above.
How to measure height and inseam at home
- Stand barefoot against a wall and mark the top of the head. That is the rider's height.
- For inseam, stand with feet about 6 in apart, pull a hardcover book up snugly between the legs, spine up, and measure from the top of the spine to the floor.
- Compare with the seat heights above. A seat taller than the inseam is normal on dirt bikes because the suspension sags under the rider; the seated test in the fit check is what counts.
In the overlap (about 5'9"–5'10")? Choose by experience
- Newer rider: D02 Classic or D03 Pro. The lower seat and a first mode of about 12 mph make learning easier.
- Experienced rider: D02 Track or D03 Beast (72V, up to 53 mph). Set a speed limit with display parameter P08 at first (how to set it).
- Speed differences explained: 48V vs 72V electric dirt bike speed.
Tall riders and heavier riders: what "full size" means here
If you searched for a full-size electric dirt bike or one for tall adults, the D02 Track and D03 Beast are CEMOTO's full-size models: 31.9 in seat, 17-inch front and 14-inch rear wheels, listed for riders up to about 6'5". The D03 Beast also has the most ground clearance in the range at about 11.0 in.
For heavier riders, check maximum load, not just height. The highest maximum load on any CEMOTO is 287 lb (D02 Classic and D03 Beast). No CEMOTO model is rated for a 300 lb rider, and the limit has to include helmet, boots and armor, so a rider near 300 lb should look for a bike with a higher published rating.
Growing teens
A 13-year-old at about 5'0" fits the D02 Classic or D03 Pro now and stays inside that listed range up to about 5'10". When a rider passes about 5'9" and has the skills to match, the 72V bikes are the next step. Don't buy a bike that is too tall for the rider today in the hope they grow into it; a rider who can't touch down is more likely to drop the bike.

FAQ
What size electric dirt bike do I need for my height?
Match the bike to rider height and inseam first. For CEMOTO, riders about 4'11" to 5'10" (150–178 cm) fit the D02 Classic or D03 Pro, with a seat height of about 28.3–28.7 in. Riders about 5'9" to 6'5" (175–195 cm) fit the D02 Track or D03 Beast, with a seat height of about 31.9 in.
What size electric dirt bike is right for a 5'5" teen?
A 5'5" rider is inside the listed range for the CEMOTO D02 Classic and D03 Pro (about 4'11" to 5'10"). Both are 48V bikes with three ride modes of roughly 12, 25 and 40 mph, which suits a teen who is still learning.
I'm 6 feet tall. Which CEMOTO electric dirt bike fits me?
At 6'0", the D02 Track and D03 Beast fit best. Both are listed for riders about 5'9" to 6'5", with a seat height of about 31.9 in, 17/14-inch wheels, a 72V 25Ah battery, up to 53 mph and up to 50 miles of range.
What is the weight limit on a CEMOTO electric dirt bike?
The maximum load is 287 lb for the D02 Classic and D03 Beast, about 265 lb for the D03 Pro and 265 lb for the D02 Track. The limit includes the rider, protective gear and anything carried on the bike.
Is there a CEMOTO electric dirt bike for a 300 lb adult?
No. The highest maximum load on any CEMOTO model is 287 lb, and that includes riding gear. A rider close to 300 lb should choose a bike with a higher published load rating.
What size electric dirt bike for a 5'4" rider?
About 5'4" fits the CEMOTO D02 Classic and D03 Pro (listed about 4'11"–5'10", seats about 28.3–28.7 in). Start in the lowest ride mode and confirm the seated fit check. The 72V D02 Track and D03 Beast (seat about 31.9 in) are usually too tall for a 5'4" rider.
Is a CEMOTO electric dirt bike right for a child under 13?
No. CEMOTO D-Series bikes are designed for riders 13 and up, and riders shorter than about 4'11" are likely too small for even the D02 Classic and D03 Pro.
